Another Step Forward for Interactive Digital Media & Tech Sector in Niagara

St. Catharines, ON – May 2, 2017- the Generator at one, an interactive digital media and tech facility, powered by Innovate Niagara, is excited to announce the arrival of its newest portfolio company, Caddle. Simply put, Caddle is a rewards-based app; it helps brands connect and engage with consumers, while rewarding consumers for their engagement, feedback, and purchases, with cash.

To participate and redeem cash rewards, all that is required is to download the Caddle app or sign up online. Once signed up and logged in, Caddle users can browse, select and redeem cash-back offers for groceries, restaurants, shopping and more.

“We’re thrilled to add Caddle to the mix of portfolio companies at the Generator at one,” says Steve Boese, Manager of the Generator at one. Boese adds, “Caddle is already hitting some pretty significant milestones for a start-up and are making a big impact in interactive consumer engagement. Being here, surrounded by other interactive digital media & tech companies, leaders and experts will help them achieve even more success. It’s exciting to think about where Caddle will be in a couple of years and the opportunities they will create for Niagara’s growing interactive digital media & tech sector.”

Ransom Hawley, Founder and CEO of Caddle, mirrors Boese’ enthusiasm and emphasises how valuable it is to be working in this space, “the Generator at one has incredible resources, like-minded start-ups, advisory services and great facilities; we love it so far.”

Hawley proudly acknowledges his affection for Niagara, being a life-long resident. Staying in Niagara to develop Caddle and start a family has made Hawley and his wife, also a life-long Niagara resident, feel fortunate as he shares, “Niagara is near and dear to our hearts.”

Although Hawley and his team are new to the Generator at one, Hawley has looked to Innovate Niagara for guidance and entrepreneurial resources since 2015 when Caddle was just an idea.

Since then, Hawley and his team have experienced notable successes, such as receiving $500,000 in private investments, partnering with large corporations including, but limited to, PepsiCo., Campbell’s, General Mills and Danone, as well as capturing the interest and offers of four out of five Dragons on the popular CBC television show, Dragons’ Den.

Caddle will compete at the 2017 Meridian Ignite Pitch Series on May 9, 2017 at the Greg Frewin Theatre for the chance to earn up to $10,000 in prize packages of cash and top-level business services.
